Finishing kindergarten is a big and exciting moment!
This year, there is a new way to celebrate your child. You have the chance to receive $100 to help save for their future education.
Families can open an Embark savings account (Oregon’s college savings plan) for their Kindergarten child with as little as $25. When you open a new account, you will get an extra $100 added to it. Learn more here:

If your child already has an account, the money you deposit helps you earn an Oregon income tax credit. This could put up to $380 back in your pocket each year.
Embark is open to everyone. While the $100 bonus is for new kindergarten accounts, people of all ages can open an account and save for education.
Visit embarksavings.com to learn more. You can also watch a short celebration video from Treasurer Steiner.
If you would like additional background about this initiative, including remarks from Oregon State Treasurer Elizabeth Steiner and Oregon Department of Education Director Dr. Charlene Williams, read the related announcement in the Oregon State Treasury Newsroom.
Don’t miss this chance to start saving for your child’s future!
